REQUIREMENTS AND APPLICATION PROCESS:

1. MEMBERSHIP – Your or your parent/guardian must be a member of the Long Island Beach Buggy Association, Inc. in good standing for the calendar year ending the application due date.

2. ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE – You must be enrolled in an accredited college offering advanced courses in Marine science or Environmental science. You must be able to provide transcript information showing at least a 3.0 GPA in your major area of study. (See section 3 for special conditions for high school seniors.)

3. Your Transcript should demonstrate a concentration in coursework devoted to Marine or Environmental Sciences. Study projects, research and extracurricular activities in the area of Marine or Environmental science are also accepted for consideration and should be accounted for through correspondence with the supervising organization. High School seniors must provide a transcript showing a 3.0 or equivalency in science courses in addition to specific projects or volunteer work relating to Marine or Environmental sciences with references from the supervising organization or guidance counselor.
