LIBBA Jamboree

The Jamboree is LIBBA’s annual blowout picnic and get together. It’s an event not to be missed and holds fun and entertainment for the whole family. The Jamboree’s location and duration has varied greatly over the years. It has been held from Montauk to West End 2 and from inland campgrounds to the beach and from one day events to weekend long campouts. The day’s events vary from casting contest for adults, music, all sorts of games for children, raffles, a giant cookout, and plenty of good conversation.

2009 Jamboree Dates Set

This year’s jamboree has been set for Saturday August 1st at Heckscher state park in Oakdale. I hope to see all of the membership come out and support LIBBA. Now is the time for Libba to stay strong and remember our commitment to the beaches and our communities. We will be collecting food products that will go to local food pantries to help our neighbors in need. Please check the website for future updates on starting times, activates and directions

JAMBOREE 2009 SCHEDULE

9:00 Start - Pledge of Allegiance followed by President’s and distinguished guest’s opening remarks.
10:00 – 1:00 Kids Games and other activities
*10:00-10:45 corn husking
*10:45-1:00 kid’s games
10:45-till event is finished, Adult Horseshoe Contest
Lunch is served from 1:00-2:30.
Raffle begins at 2:30. Don't forget to get those tickets early in the day.
2:30-5.00 More kid’s games
